When you realize there is nothing lacking,

The whole world belongs to you.

Facilitators

Our facilitator group offering these workshops includes those certified by the Grof Transpersonal Training program (GTT), and assistants certified with Dreamshadow Transpersonal Breathwork, all with many years of experience both as participants and as helpers.  All of us have seen the benefits of Holotropic Breathwork in our own lives, and the growth and healing in the lives of people who have participated in our workshops in both Maine and Boston. We are dedicated to this work and honored to be able to bring it to midcoast Maine.

Jean Wood has been participating in Holotropic Breathwork sessions since 1989, and certified as a facilitator with the Grof Transpersonal Training (GTT) in 2006.  She has facilitated in large groups with Stan Grof and staff at Naropa University, Omega Institute, and Kripalu, and has assisted with smaller groups in the Pacific Northwest. She has long used this work as a primary psychospiritual discipline for her own personal growth and learning, and is always eager to share it with others. She lives in Maine and offers weekend workshops in the Midcoast area as well as in Boston.

Jean is a botanist, naturalist and inveterate gardener with a masters degree in botany from the University of Wyoming. She has long been fascinated by the potentials of self-exploration and inner healing. She finds the natural world to be a powerful source of connection to the inner world and the human soul.

She is also a student of astrology, pursuing - and awed by - the archetypal correlations between the planetary transits of breathwork participants and their experiences in our workshops. In addition Jean offers personal consultations to foster integration of material arising from Holotropic and other extraordinary experiences.

Lisa Gilbert, M.D., graduated from Kent State University with a B.S. in Biology and then worked as a teacher, athletic trainer and coach for five years. She then attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and after graduating she completed a residency in psychiatry at the Cleveland Clinic. Lisa has practiced psychiatry in a wide variety of settings, predominately serving trauma survivors. Since 2009 she has worked entirely with veterans. She became certified as a Holotropic Breathwork facilitator in 2017 through the Grof Transpersonal Training program, some of which was directly taught by Stanislav Grof, M.D.

“Focus on the Greater Mystery in life has been a long-held theme throughout many facets of my life. Holotropic Breathwork has been by far the most beneficial experiential tool along the way. Even as I assist with the facilitation, I continue to do my own sessions, as this and other personal work continue to accelerate deeper spiritual connection and profound healing.”
